Insignia is a 55.46 metre motor yacht which was built and launched by the Elsflether Werft AG shipyard in 1979. Since then she has undergone refits keeping her in pristine condition and comfortably up to highly modern standards. She features naval architecture by Alpha Marine as well as interior styling by Luiz De Basto Designs.
The vast and open Main Salon, with the stylish, yet modern Bar and Dining Room ensuite, provides a comfortable, intimate and relaxing area for formal entertainment. Visually separating the Salon and the Dining Room is the free-standing ornamental stairway which leads to the less formal entertainment areas on the Upper Deck.
The Dining Room which comfortably sits a party of fourteen, offers a unique setting for exquisite candlelight dinners. The Gordon Bleu chef's glowing creations tailored to meet the guests' desires.
The honey-brown Tanganyika wood used throughout the yacht creates a warm atmosphere that complements the fittings and the generously proportioned sofas and armchairs in a harmonious environment.
Beyond the Dining Room is the Main Foyer leading to the Owner's Suite as well as to five guest Staterooms on the Lower Deck. The Owner's Suite includes a private study with internet/intranet access a spacious king size bedroom with a complete entertainment centre, a large walk-in dressing room and “His” and “Hers” bathrooms ensuite separated by a Jacuzzi tub.
INSIGNIA's functional and modern design allows easy access to all the exterior areas. and the swimming platform. The Upper Deck's 180 degrees glass-enclosed lounge is serviced by an open Bar. The lounge is equipped with a surround sound stereo system and a 52'' Plasma screen. The doors open up access an integrated open-air area for al-fresco dining for fourteen a Bar and a teak seating area. The Sun Deck invites guests to relax in the Jacuzzi surrounded by sun bathing pads, or get exercise with the available gym equipment.

12 guests in 7 cabins. One Master cabin on Main deck, 1 VIP cabin, 2 Queen Double cabins and 3 Twin cabins. The spacious master suite is situated forward on the Main Deck, with spectacular and unobstructed panoramic views out to sea. Without moving from the king-sized bed, the occupants can admire the passing scenery on either side, or enjoy a television or video feature on the giant plasma screen which is concealed behind a remote-controlled retractable panel when not in use. The suite includes a comfortable walk-in closet, his-and-hers marble bathroom with central rain-shower spa, and separate office. The very attractive VIP Suite, on the Lower Deck, stretches across the full beam, with a queen sized bed set to one side and a comfortable seating area opposite. The splendid bathroom includes a bath tub as well as a shower and there is a generous amount of storage in a lobby between the bedroom and the bathroom. A flexible arrangement of guest staterooms can accommodate a wide variety of charter groups.Three of the staterooms, for instance, have a twin bed arrangement that can easily be changed to a king-sized bed. As well, the same guest staterooms each have an additional Pullman bed. Located in the lazarette area of the Lower Deck, a separate Sauna with a dressing-room and a shower room is also available to the guests.
